Considerations
While OBT accepts applications on a continuous basis, we regret that we cannot process applications that do not meet this schedule. Applications received after 5:00 p.m. (CT) on the above deadlines will be reviewed in the next appropriate grant cycle.
Because the demand for support from our program and portal support teams increases dramatically in the days leading up to application deadlines, requests for support submitted on deadline days may not be addressed in time for you to meet the deadline. Please plan accordingly.

Waiting Period After a Turndown
When an application is turned down, the applicant must wait one year from the date they submitted it before applying again. In a few special circumstances, OBT will waive the one-year waiting period. In those cases, the applicant will receive notice of the waiver at the same time they receive their turndown notification.
