While OBT accepts applications on a continuous basis, we regret that we cannot process applications that do not meet this schedule. Applications received after 5:00 p.m. (CT) on the deadlines noted above will be reviewed in the next appropriate grant cycle.

Because the demand for support from our program and portal support teams increases dramatically in the days leading up to application deadlines, requests for support submitted on deadline days may not be addressed in time for you to meet the deadline. Please plan accordingly.

Dates are subject to change. Check this page periodically for the most up-to-date schedule. Previous Otto Bremer Trust grant recipients should review our application information before submitting an application.

Waiting Period After a Turndown

When an application is turned down, the applicant must wait one year from the date they submitted it before applying again. In a few special circumstances, OBT will waive the one-year waiting period. In those cases, the applicant will receive notice of the waiver at the same time they receive their turndown notification.
